โ€œRuffled By The Windโ€

This pattern has been designed around yarns dyed by โ€˜Family Tree Yarnsโ€™, monthly

book club.

This month was โ€˜Gone With The Windโ€™ and using a skein dyed in colours inspired by the

book and a mini skein to contrast this design has been born.

The pattern uses 100g of fingering/4ply yarn approx. 425m so is easily created using

whatever you have in your stash.

Its name obviously ties in with the story and the design is such, that it can happily be

created without the mini skein to contrast if preferred, please just ensure you have

enough yardage as listed in the pattern requirements.

Itโ€™s a simple knitted crescent shaped shawl, that comes into its shape once blocked,

giving you choices to how you finish the look of the piece.

The photographs and pattern in this document are the property of Kate Whiting Designs.

This pattern is available for personal use only.

No unauthorized reproduction, either in a finished item, part or distribution of this pattern or

content is allowed.

Then cast off all the stitches

Sew in the loose ends and the shawl will need to be blockedโ€ฆ..however donโ€™t block the ruffle

edge by pulling it flat or you will loose the effect of the ruffle.

I placed the pins just under the eyelets in the contrast section and pulled the centre of the ruffle

down to give a finishing point, as can be seen in the photo belowโ€ฆyou can choose not to do

this and leave the edge rounded.

The shawl measures approx. 113cm wingspan by 34cm when blocked into a point.
