Yarn Requirements:

I made two different versions of this pattern. The original version was

made with Scheepjes Catona, which is available in balls of 10,25, and 50

grams. A 50 grams ball Catona has a length of 125 meters of yarn. The

yarn consists of 100% mercerized cotton. This version is made out of six

colors:

Color A: 392 lime juice (25 grams needed)

Color B: 512 Lime (45 grams needed)

Color C: 130 Old Lace (60 grams needed)

Color D: 255 Nude (90 grams needed)

Color E: 408 Old Rose (55 grams needed)

Color F: 264 Light Coral (40 grams needed)

The second version of this pattern is created with one Scheepjes Whirl,

which comes in cakes of 215-225 grams with a length of 1000 meters of

yarn. For the purple version, I used the colorway: 758 Lavenderlicious;

for the green version, I used the colorway: 561 Sippy Sage. The pattern

require 700-900 meters of yarn, so you won't use the whole Whirl.

Crochet hook

needed:

I recommend a 3.0mm

hook for both made

versions.

Size: A finished mandala in Catona will

measure approx. 30 inches. A finished mandala

in Whirl will finish approx. 28 inches.

If you like to use a ring for the project โ€“ use

the same diameter as the above measurements.

Still, crochet the project before buying a

ring, as tension and outcome can be different.

Special notes:

The pattern is worked in Rounds, meaning you will only work on

the Right Side of the work.

Please refer to the internet if you don't know a stitch used in this

pattern. There are loads of videos and tutorials to find, as they

are all regular stitches.

Between Rounds, the pattern can ruffle or bobble a little.

Blocking the project is necessary if you don't crochet it into a

ring.

Close the popcorn with a chain when making popcorn stitches in

the pattern. This chain doesn't count as a stitch when new chains

must be made after a popcorn stitch. A Popcorn stitch in this

pattern is made of 5 double crochet stitches.

When a Round starts making a popcorn stitch, always use a ch3

for the first dc. This is not written individually in the pattern

rounds.
