Material and tools:
Any raffia yarn: for poppies – 66 yards (60 m), for camomiles, cornflowers
and leaves – of 22 yards (20 m) each, for spikelets – 11 yards (10 m), for
centres – 6 yards (5 m). In my example, raffia Ispie and Fibranatura;
Hook 3 mm,
Plastic headband, width – 10 mm,
33 adjustable plastic clamps, length 4-5 inches (10-12 cm),
Gold spray paint (or nail polish),
Little glitter,
5 beads, diameter 10-15 mm (optional),
3 tapes of 2 1/5 yards (2 m) each (optional),
PVA glue and glue gun,
Scissors, iron.
Gauge: 18 stitch and 20 rows = 4*4 inches (10*10 cm).
Finished headband from the specified materials: height 4 inches (10 cm), width
2 inches (5 cm), length of the tapes 39 inches (1 m).
Abbreviations
CH – chain stitch,
SlSt – slip stitch,
SC – single crochet,
DC – double crochet,
Inc – increase (2 SC in 1),

Crochet the camomile
Corolla (base). Crochet 2 CH.
1 row. Crochet 6 SC in the 2nd loop from the hook.

3 DC from the 3rd loop of the hook, 1 SC, skip one loop of the 2nd row,

Cut the thread, pull out the end. Tighten the end in the 1st CH of the row to
the wrong side. Tie the knot, hide the ends.

Centre. Crochet 2 CH.
1 row. 6 SC in the 2nd loop from the hook, SlSt.
2 row. 1 Inc*6 in the hole (= 12).

Cut the thread, pull out the end.
Close this row: Insert the hook under the 1st loop of the row, pull out the
end, tighten the end back to the wrong side. Strengthen and hide the end.
Slightly compress the centre so that it takes the shape of a ball.
Steam the corolla with an iron. Glue on the centre with the PVA glue.
Crochet four more camomiles.

Crochet the poppy
Corolla 1. Crochet 2 CH.

Centre. Crochet similarly to the centre of the camomile.
Take two pieces of the raffia yarn of 2 inches (5 cm) each. Straighten both
pieces. Cut the fringe on both sides, leaving 10 mm uncut in the middle.

Glue on the pieces from below to the centre crosswise.
Dip the ends in the PVA glue and immediately in the glitter.

Glue on the centre in the 2nd corolla, then the 2nd corolla – in the 1st corolla
with the PVA glue.
Crochet two more poppies.

Crochet the cornflower
Corolla. Crochet 4 CH.
Connect in the circle with SlSt.

turn, 3 CH, SlSt, 3 CH, SlSt, 3 CH, SlSt, 3 CH, SlSt,

Cut the thread, pull out the end. Tie the knot on the wrong side, hide the

Centre. Wrap two fingers four times with a piece of the raffia yarn.
Grab in the middle with the loop. Wrap the fold with the ends. Cut the ends of
the tassel.

Insert the tassel in the hole of the corolla, glue on it. Tie the knot and hide
the ends on the wrong side.
Dip the ends in the PVA glue and immediately in the glitter.
Crochet three more cornflowers.

Crochet the leaf
Crochet the chain with 15 CH.
1 row. Crochet:
3 SC from the 2nd loop of the hook,
4 CH, 3 SC from the 2nd loop o the hook,
2 SC in the chain, 6 CH,
3 DC from the 3rd loop of the hook, 1 SC,
2 SC in the chain, 6 CH,
3 DC from the 3rd loop of the hook, 1 SC,
2 SC in the chain, 5 CH,
2 DC from the 3rd loop of the hook 1 SC,
4 SC in the chain,
3 SC in 1, turn the canvas,
4 SC in the chain, 5 CH,
2 DC from the 3rd loop of the hook, 1 SC,
2 SC in the chain, 6 CH,
3 DC from the 3rd loop of the hook, 1 SC,
2 SC in the chain, 6 ะะ,
3 DC from the 3rd loop of the hook, 1 SC,
2 SC in the chain, 4 CH,
3 SC from the 2nd loop of the hook,
3 SC.
Cut the thread, pull out the end. Tighten the end in the 1st SC of the row to
the wrong side. Tie the knot, hide the ends.
Twist the top leaf.
Steam the leaf with an iron.

Crochet four more leaves.

Crochet the spikelet
For the spikelet it is better to take the raffia Fibranatura or Organic. Take the
pieces of the raffia yarn 60 inches (1.5 m) long, fold in half.
Crochet the chain 3 inches (7 cm) long.
For that, made the slip knot, donโt tighten the knot.

Insert the hook in the knot, crochet two loops together.
Next, insert the hook in the previous loop, crochet two loops together. Repeat
to the desired length.

Cut the thread, pull out the end and cut the fringe.
Take the piece of the raffia yarn 2-21/2 inches (5-6 ัm) long. Cut into strips
1.5 – 2 mm wide.

Take two strips and insert in the spikelet every two loops.
Cut the ends with the scissors so that they are sharp. Fix the antennae with
the PVA glue.

Crochet four more spikelets.
Change the number of elements as desired.

Prepare of the headband
Put the 33 adjustable plastic clamps on the headband at equal intervals.
Tighten each clamp well.
Cut the ends of the clamps in the shape of a star.

Paint it in golden color from a spray can.
You can use a nail polish, if you donโt have a paint.
Let it dry well.
Assembly
Warm up the glue gun.
Put a protective coating on the work surface.
First, glue on the spikelets to the tops of the stars.

Then add the leaves. Spread the glue in the middle of the leaf

Next glue on the poppies.
Place the cornflowers between the poppies.
of


At the end, close all the empty places with the camomiles.
If desired, you can decorate the headband with the red beads.
of


Add 1-2 small black beads to resemble berries.
Also, if desired, you can add ribbons 39 inches (1 m) long at the end of the
headband.
