CROCHET INTRODUCTION

The toy is crocheted in a spiral, without slip stitches and

turning chains.

The front side

The wrong side

The description of the crocheting this toy is based on the

fact that the beginning of the row throughout the crocheting

of all detail doesn't shift and passes in a straight line. but

since we work in a spiral, without turning chains and slip

stitches, the beginning of the row will shift to the right. as

soon as you notice a deviation markers to the right, it is

necessary to make an additional stitch of displacement, so

that the beginning of the row will be in the same place.

These additional stitches in the description of the rows are

not taken into account.

A marker – is a marker of the beginning of a row – i.e. the

place where one row ends and the next begins (there will be

indicated in the pattern, where the marker is needed).

It is most convenient to use a thin cotton thread as a

marker. This thread is thrown in the process of crocheting

on the front side, then on the wrong side and is located

between the last stitch of one row and the first stitch of the

next.

That is, we set a certain line that marks the beginning of the

row. As soon as you notice that the beginning of the row has

shifted from this line to the right by the size of one stitch –

crochet a shifting stitch. Please, note, that this is not

increase or decrease! Just the first stitch of the next row

becomes the last stitch of the previous one, and the marker

is shifted by 1 stitch to the left, the number of loops in a row

remains unchanged.

the beginning of the row is

marked with a thread and you

can see how much crocheting

goes to the side.

an example with shifting stitch.

INVISIBLE COLOR CHANGE

When you want to switch from one color to the

next, you work to within two stitches before a

color change. Make the next stitch as usual,

but donโ€™t pull the final loop through (1).

Instead, wrap the new color of yarn around

your hook and pull it through the remaining

loops (2). To make a neat color change, you can

make the first stitch in the new color a slip

stitch instead of a single crochet. Donโ€™t pull the

slip stitch too tight or it will be difficult to

crochet into in the next round. Tie the loose

tails in a knot and leave them on the inside.
